PARTNER DANCING again speaks for itself. The dances are performed with a partner and are sometimes referred to as "Stop and Go" dances as they progress anti-clockwise round the outside of the dance floor, often stopping and turning the other way for a series of steps, but will then turn back in an anti clockwise direction (line of dance).


COUPLE DANCING, sounds like Partner dancing but does differ. It is often referred to as Freestyle and includes various distinctive types of dancing which can be spilt into two types, "Progressive" and "Slot" dances.


PROGRESSIVE DANCES - Two Step, Waltz and Polka, these dances actually progress round the outside of the dance floor (outside of the Partner Dancers)


SLOT DANCES - Cha Cha, West Coast Swing and East Coast Swing are performed in small "slots" on the dance floor, either end of the Line dancers, but inside the

I have entered on this site links to the music for all the Western Couple dances I have learn't since January 1987 at the various clubs I have attended or previously run, and also dances learn't when on Western Dance holidays and clubs.


On this Western Couple dancer website, some audio tracks are offered as free to listen to or download at some internet music web sites which have been placed there for evaluation and entertainment purposes, and as encouragement to support artists and purchase their music.  Most of this music can be purchased as an mp3 from official music sale sites such as iTunes, Napster, Virgin, Tesco Music Downloads, 7 Digital, and Wippit.  Otherwise, they can be purchased on the individual artists cd's

I have also opened a Western Couple Slot and Partner dancing Face Book Group where I have uploaded some dance step videos to music.  Just join the Group on Facebook and arrow down to the videos at the bottom of the page, click on See All and click on dance title under picture for the couple dance of your choice, and press play to video watch dance video.  You can download the video to the computer if you join Face Book and the group  (12 videos added to date):-
